Eco-Tourism is defined as "responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people.The land of forest or the land of tribes, no matter with which name you call it, Jharkhand is one of the richest state having natural resources in heaps. As the 29% of all area of the state is shrouded by forests, the state has abundant to offer to tourists willing to take a dip in its natural heritage.

The vast woodland, forests and hills of Jharkhand is origin to many of numerous sightseeing natural spots inviting nature lovers to indulge into. Many of the beautiful waterfalls like Johna falls, Sita Dhara, Hundru fallls, Dassam falls, Panchghagh and Hirni falls located in very scenic surrounding are important place to discovered and enjoy wonderful natural sightseeing.

For traveler willing to enjoy wildlife viewing, the national park of Betla and Hazaribagh let them spot its wild inhabitants like Elephant, Panther, Leopard, Wild Boar, Tiger, Gaur, Sloth Bear, Sambar, Chital, Nuntjac, Nilgai, Langur, Mouse Deer, Monkeys, Small Indian Civet, Mongoose, Jackals, Porcupine and Ant Eating Pangolin. Taking a game viewing in the park gives one better interaction with the rich wildlife of India.

Reaching There

Air : Ranchi has its own domestic airport having regular flights for destinations like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Patna.

Rail : The railway station of Ranchi is well connected to other main rail routes of the country. Cities like Delhi, Patna, Chennai and Kolkata have direct train for Ranchi.

By Road : Connected via national highway, Ranchi has very well road link. Daily buses ply from prime destinations like Patna, Kolkata and Jamshedpur.
